Beauty products to keep my skin glowy & hydrated

Hey friends, I wanted to share some skincare content with you today :)

As you may know if you are here for quite some time now, you know I have dipped my toes in the beauty industry for several years.

Even though I did quit my job as a beauty specialist and customer relation manager, my love for all things clean skincare is still very much present!

I figured I would give you some product recs and also a little blab of my current daily skincare line-up in case this could be helpful for you guys.

And fun fact, my friends (boys and girls) do ask me pretty often what I use and what I would recommend them for a minimalistic skincare regimen.

Just so you know the context, I have a normal to combination skin with blemishes and some redness :)

I believe that hydration is key no matter what your skin conditions are so this is what we are focusing today.

Empty beauty products I wiil be buying again

Hi friends, I hope you are well!

I've recently ran out of some of my beauty products I had on my bathroom shelves. Most of them are skincare related, obviously, because you know how much I do enjoy skincare. If you have been reading my blog for the last few years, you are certainly familiar with some of them.
But I figured that a little refresher is not a bad thing, especially because I have rediscovered some of these skincare products over the course of the last months, and because our skin can change through seasons.
I still have a lot of products to try and to run through (job thing you have known it for a while now) so I will be waiting a minute before spending my money on new bottles of skincare.
Keep in mind though, the products I will walk you through have worked so well for my skin condition.

Skincare newbies : Night time routine focus

Hey friends, I hope you are all doing amazing ✨

I am taking time to write things here a little bit, so sorry it's been that long since I have posted and said "hi!" here.

Skincare - you might start to know how much I am a seeker for all things wellness and can't get my hands off of great beauty products.

Just to set the scene, and for those who just happen to stumble on my blog for the first time - also welcome, it's a safe place here for wellness, skincare, and lifestyle topics - I have a normal to combination skin, pretty dehydrated and with a tendancy to get rednesses and hyperpigmentation scars quite easily.

Weird thing about it though is that it doesn't get oily during the day.

So, as a good 2.0 skincare advocate, I take my skincare routine very seriously.

I really hope that you will find it helpful, remember that I am here to inspire.

A few steps to a pretty basic, but effective skincare routine. Follow it on a regular basis to give a little more love and care to your skin.

5 things I do to feel good inside & out

© Pinterest

Hi friends, I told you in my most recent post about my desire to share more wellness related content over here.

Wellness is a big topic these days. Almost one of THE trendy and "that girl" starter kit kind of thing you see on social medias. It can be quite of a struggle for some of us to find that healthy balance between our daily tasks (work, personal life and family duties, friends dates...) and our self mental health.

To set the scene - and so that you can get an idea of where I come from - I was done with 4 years of fashion marketing school, waiting for my graduation and dealing with the last months of internship. Adding a romantic situation shift and trying to figure my life out. All of that really was a mess, an earthquake happening inside my mind and body. After analysing - and crying - everything, I decided it was enough. I started to introspect myself, understand how and why the heck I was feeling the way I did.

I don't know if you are receptive to synchronicities or if you trust the ways of the universe but I do.

I guess I was way too self-conscious about showing myself as the weird kid wanted to be a mermaid, obsessed with the ocean (but scared of it at the same time lol) talking to the stars and very connected to my intuitions. What's bred in the bone comes out in the flesh I guess!

Here are 5 things I do daily to keep myself balanced : mind, body and soul connected.

Skincare update : products I am currently using to treat my skin

Hey friends, I hope you are well! Summer is now over and it's time to do a little check up on our skin. Don't know about you but, between the sun, the heat and wearing the mask pretty much every day, my skin complexion has been changing and I feel like my skin has not been quite happy with all that jazz.

Last time my skin was completely messing around was when I came back from Australia. Clogged pores, hyperpigmentation scars, pimples were part of the party, and that was not fun at all.

Here are the few skincare products that I am using at the moment to help cure my mistreated skin. I am also taking advantage of the seasonal change to re adapt my skin regimen.

Off to a good start - targeting hydration, balance, and skin texture.

A love letter to my body.

"To my dearest body,
I don't really know where to start but I will by saying you are strong, and beautiful. Life experiences may have made you even more tough. And even if until this day, when I'm writing you these few lines, you don't know all your potential, keep in mind that some brighter days are slowly coming around the corner.
I haven't treated you the kindest since the past few years but I promise I'm getting better at this.
I sometimes felt like I didn't deserve you at all, trying to sabotage everything you were. Please forgive me for all the bullshit I gave you."

From left to right:

OH MY CREAM Cleansing balm / INDIE LEE Brightening cleanser / OH MY CREAM Universal face cream / RMS BEAUTY Luminizing powder (grande dame)

Those are the latest products that were added on my beauty shelves, give me a couple of weeks to try them out and I'll come back for a beauty talk.

Some of them are already adopted since I've been using them for quite some time now (and bought when empty).

Did you guys know about these brands and beauty items? What are your latest finds in terms of beauty and skincare?

How to deal with stress & anxiety

ANXIETY. Probably one of the main things that keep me locked in on a daily basis.

I thought it could be somewhat helpful (for me and maybe for those of you who are also battling up with this very annoying and nerve racking issue) to have a talk about this on here, and especially regarding what the world is going through right now.

Merry self care

Almost the end of the year, meaning it's almost xmas time.
While some are so busy thinking about what gift to get for every single people in their lives, i chose to treat myself first this year.

Because it's not about being selfish, but about being kind to yourself before anyone else.
At the end of the day, I chose being good to myself, learning to let myself be happy.

If being on social medias had me learnt something, it's that sometimes, you are just overwhelmed with "perfect life be like" of others, new trends, new products...and you just can't help being trapped into a wound of negativity.

TREAT YOURSELF first, if you don't have the budget of spending millions (no one could, let's be real), that's not the end of the world. Recycling, wraping things you've bought recently or not (loving the fact of rediscovering things out) is a major bonus for starting a more slow driven life.

My guide to #SELFCAREXMAS:

1. Treat yourself by reading your favorite books (warm and fuzzy for the season)
2. Treat yourself by spending more alone time with yourself
3. Treat yourself by gifting yourself with things you've always wanted
4. Wrap things up with leftovers packaging, magazines, poches
5. Write down sweet quotes, words, letters to read when you're feeling low

18 things I've learned in 2018.

It's finally here, 2019 baby.

This past year have been pretty rich and full of things that made me feel pretty grateful in some way. I've learned  so much about me myself and I, or about people that just surrounded myself. Good or not that good. But you know the drill with new years retrospective: you kinda try to look back on your year, what the f* it has brought you and just basically what you have learn through every single situation.

How to get better skin

Hey babes, it's been way too long I haven't write over here... I didn't have that much time these past few weeks with my Aussie trip (a travel diary video is slowly coming by the way) and my internship debut. If you are wondering, I'm currently working in the beauty industry, and it's so much FUN.

If you guys know me, you know that even if I love beauty things and makeup, I don't do to much on my face 95% of the time. I like to look as natural as possible because I'm always afraid of putting way to much makeup on. So my face is literally bare as a baby butt everyday, and to be honest, I kinda love my natural face.

I've been quite lucky not to ever have acne or a lot of imperfections, and so I've never took time to clean my face properly. And after my trip to Australia this summer, I've noticed that my skin was changing a LOT, I mean I had dilated pores and more imperfections. I was quite surprised on how bad my skin complexion was at this time. And then I start my internship and I've made my skin diagnosis. Now I know more about my skin type: Normal to dry, and the girls told me that my skin problems were due to a lack or a bad cleansing routine!

So I've completely changed my skincare routine and products and since then I've noticed quite of a difference. My skin is looking better and glowy!
